If you look closely, you can see that the colors are actually mixed from my blood, sweat and tears. |
Both are made from foam insulation board, which was cut down, sanded (very, very messy), spackled, and finally painted. The skull on the guitar was made from Crayola modeling clay.
Of course, Marceline has a thousand outfits to chose from, so I simply went with the "No Smoking T-shirt from "I Remember You" and a pair of red boots (not the cowboy boots, mind you) from the beginning "Bad Little Boy." And, of course, I have her basic skinny jeans. I've seen lots of amazing cosplay Marcelines with super long hair, which is awesome, but the long haired wig I bought was a mess, so I went with a shorter, more manageable one.

You can't see the bite marks on my neck, nor can you hear the awesome bass I'm pounding out. (I have no idea how to pretend I play bass guitar.) |
My Marshall Lee was dressed in red converse, a plaid shirt, and his shaggy black hair. He also insisted on looking down or making a weird face in every picture. You can't blame him. he rarely ventures out of his house long enough for a photo to be taken of him.

He actually knows how to hold a guitar, but looking at people makes him break-out in hives. |
In the end, I didn't know how to properly hold a bass, and he can't make a normal face, but it was a good time for all, especially since we were taking photos ourselves (obviously), so to take a picture of us together, we had to set the camera on timer and then run really quickly into position.

We never found out who owned that bike, but in another world where I'm prone to stealing things, we had some epic playing-guitar-on-a-bicycle shots. |
This year, I'll be cosplaying with Travis Neil. We're pretty sure that we're going to be different reincarnations of the Doctor, from Doctor Who. I'm going to be Matt Smith, and he's going to be David Tennant. Hopefully, it'll actually happen. Pictures will go up if it does!
